SOTA 1 (ages 5-10)
SOTA 1 classes are geared toward students who are dedicated to studying the skills and techniques of theatre in an introductory level. Students build theatre skills and techniques by moving through the levels of programming from auditions to rehearsals to a final performance of their given show. Students are given the opportunity to produce and perform in a full production while expressing themselves, building confidence, exploring their imaginations and inner voice and developing lasting relationships with peers and staff.
THE SHOW: Students will be performing “YOU ARE SPECIAL” by author Max Lucado. You Are Specia tells the story of Punchinello, the wooden Wemmick who believes that he isn’t good enough because of what others say about him. When will Punchinello realize how truly special he is?
